The publishing house's production manager, Rita Brosius, explains in an interview what makes this partnership so sustainable.

Numerous companies around the world are striving to revolutionise recycling with new technologies such as robotics, sensor technology and artificial intelligence. Thanks to digitalisation, much of the waste can be converted into valuable resources. In addition, recycling processes are being automated and mountains of waste reduced. In the 1990s, the Elbe has developed from an ecological problem into an intact ecosystem in many places. The river plays an important role for Steinbeis Papier and its Glückstadt site. This is why Steinbeis operates its own fully biological wastewater treatment plant, which purifies the company's water.

As the largest employer in Glückstadt, Steinbeis Papier is involved in numerous regional projects and co-operates closely with schools and trainees. These co-operations strengthen the small town on the Elbe. Peter Brodersen, external consultant to the Steinbeis Group, emphasises the importance of Steinbeis Papier for the region in an interview.
