Online shop with revolutionary character

25.01.2022 - Steinbeis Papier has a clear goal: to offer customers products that guarantee high standards of environmental compatibility, quality and safety. And Steinbeis Papier combines this with a clear message in favour of greater sustainability. At shop.stp.de, companies can order high-quality recycled paper and join a green "rethink" movement.

Recycled papers from Steinbeis Papier are made from 100 per cent waste paper, meaning that not a single tree has to be felled for their production. Compared to conventional papers made from virgin fibres, "Steinbeis No. 1" to "No. 4" save up to 72 percent energy and 83 percent water during production. In addition,CO2 emissions are reduced by 53 per cent. The titles "No. 1" to "No. 4" determine the degree of whiteness of the respective paper from ISO 70 to ISO 100. The portfolio is complemented by "Steinbeis Color", the multifunctional paper in five pastel colours. Like all Steinbeis papers, they have been awarded the Blue Angel and the EU Ecolabel. These are all convincing indicators for greater sustainability. And this is exactly what the Steinbeis Papier online shop implies - namely that you can make a contribution with every order.

Clear and tidy - this is how the Steinbeis Papier online shop presents itself. The high-quality recycled papers take centre stage here. Concise information on each product is presented in a user-friendly way. But the shop does even more... Photo: Anthony Boyd [M]

More than just recycled paper

"Rethink paper and become part of a green revolution" - with this statement, Steinbeis Papier emphasises its central strategy in the shop, namely to link its sustainable products with the message of a consistent rethink on the subject of resource conservation. With "Rethink now", the shop even has its own tab dedicated to the topic, under which users are sensitised - visually and in terms of content - and inspired to contribute to the preservation of the environment by switching to recycled paper made from 100 percent waste paper.

Sustainability calculator for the self-test

And indeed, it has been shown that production and thinking in cycles leads to significant savings and thus to the avoidance of environmental pollution. Steinbeis Papier therefore focusses on the aspect of long-term resource conservation. A sustainability calculator on the homepage of the shop encourages users to individually calculate the savings potential in their own office: simply enter the paper consumption/requirement and four clear graphics on wood consumption, energy use, water consumption andCO2 show how sustainable the use of recycled paper is compared to virgin fibre paper in a specific case.

Users can see the Steinbeis Papier credo "Every sheet counts" for themselves on the shop page: the sustainability calculator shows how much potential savings recycled paper offers in terms of resources and energy.

A network of rethinkers

Various companies have already joined the movement and are using ReThinkingPaper - the recycled paper from Steinbeis - in their everyday office life. These "rethinkers" acknowledge their pioneering role and exemplary function with company logos directly on the shop page. When ordering, each company receives a ReThinkingPaper seal for the entrance area, for the website or the e-mail signature, which emphasises the sustainability claim of the respective company once again.

The ReThinkingPaper certificate becomes a figurehead for companies that use recycled paper from Steinbeis Papier. Whether as a seal in the email signature or a physical sign in the entrance area - customers and business partners recognise the concrete commitment to environmental protection and sustainability. The recycled papers from Steinbeis Papier are not only a promise of sustainability, but also a promise of quality. Companies that want to see this for themselves in their own day-to-day office work will receive five times 20 sheets of "Steinbeis No. 1" to "No. 4" and "Steinbeis Colour" for viewing and for an initial test with a sample order - a first step towards the "rethinking" movement.
