Steinbeis Papier is one of the "Digital Champions 2022, 2023 and 2024"
15.03.2022/02.03.2023/04.03.2024 - Steinbeis Papier is not only optimally positioned for the future with its sustainable recycled papers - extensive transformation steps in the company towards highly automated work processes have already been completed and are to be further implemented in the course of digitalisation. Focus Money and Deutschland Test are now honouring the "digital drivers" in Germany - and Steinbeis Papier is there with its commitment.
Steinbeis Papier takes first place among the "Digital Champions 2024" in the field of paper processing companies. And this success is no coincidence - the recycled paper manufacturer is pursuing a consistent digitalisation strategy at many levels of the company. The "Digital Champions 2024" are the result of a large-scale study. Focus Money and Deutschland Test commissioned the study with scientific support from the Hamburg Institute of International Economics (HWWI) at the IMWF Institute for Management and Economic Research.
Millions of data sources analysed
More than 12,300 German companies from a wide range of sectors were closely examined for the study during the research period from 1 January 2022 to 31 December 2023. Questionnaires were sent to company managers to gain a personal impression of their respective digitalisation ambitions. In addition, numerous online data from websites, forums, blogs, press portals and news sites were analysed. A complex social listening process was used to scan websites for terms associated with the respective companies. This was done in several stages and partly with the help of artificial intelligence. All the data obtained in this way was then subjected to a complex evaluation system.
Digital engagement
And Steinbeis Papier is performing well in many areas of the company, especially when it comes to digitalisation. Managing Director Ulrich Feuersinger and his successor Marc Gebauer have made this commitment a top priority. The impetus for digitalisation comes primarily from the employees. Digitalisation has already been implemented and grown in many areas - ranging from a digitalised procurement process and SAP-supported production(Industry 4.0) to a highly automated sales area. Digital corporate communication with optimised websites, a blog, a dedicated online shop and extensive social media activities should also be highlighted. Everything runs under a high level of data security. Steinbeis Papier is investing in further digitalisation measures for the future and organising training courses in all areas of the company.
Just as in 2022 and 2023, Steinbeis Papier is delighted to receive the "Digital Champion 2024" award. The medium-sized environmental pioneer achieved 100 out of a maximum of 100 points in the study by Focus Money and Deutschland Test. This makes the family business the industry winner and puts it at the top of the overall ranking for the paper processing industry. The future viability of a company is increasingly measured by the degree of digitalisation. In this respect, this is not just a title, but a seal of approval for a sustainable corporate policy at Steinbeis Papier.
Digital Champions 2024
After two years in the top 5, Steinbeis Papier even made it to first place in this year's "Digital Champions" for paper processing companies. The success is due to the ongoing consistent digitalisation strategy that the recycled paper manufacturer is pursuing at many levels of the company. The "Digital Champions 2024" were once again determined as part of an extensive study. Focus Money and Deutschland Test commissioned the study in collaboration with the Hamburg Institute of International Economics (HWWI) and the IMWF Institute for Management and Economic Research. More than 12,300 companies were scrutinised with regard to the performance dimensions of digitalisation, technology and innovation. Steinbeis Papier once again underpins its entrepreneurial future viability as the market leader for recycled graphic papers and as a driver of innovation for products such as sustainable labels.
