Protecting resources as an industrial asset - the new Steinbeis Papier brand campaign.

06.12.2018 - The UN Climate Change Conference is meeting in Katowice from 2 to 14 December. Once again, global warming and limiting it to 2 degrees is being eagerly discussed. Do we have to prepare ourselves for another disappointing outcome? Are leading industrialised nations once again putting profit and economic interests above the need for sustainable action? Instead of hoping for political assertiveness, Steinbeis Papier GmbH is consistently pursuing its CSR strategy and thematising it in its new brand campaign. The company declares "water, energy, climate and biodiversity" to be industrial values that must be protected at all costs. The scarcity of resources and the destruction of the ecological balance also jeopardise the productivity and profitability of companies.

With the campaign motif at the 11th German Sustainability Day in Düsseldorf

Steinbeis will be presenting one of the new lead motifs of the brand campaign - "Preserving biodiversity" through the use of secondary resources in industrial production - at the 11th German Sustainability Day, which will take place in Düsseldorf from 6 to 7 December 2018. Interested parties can find more information about the motifs, the campaign concept, its content and the accompanying social media activities on the campaign website https://www.wirtunwasdafuer.de. Interested users can join the #wirtunwasdafuer group on LinkedIn and Facebook and exchange views on environmental protection and nature conservation, economic growth and resource justice, climate protection and the overspending ofCO2 accounts by consumers and industry.

Encouraging companies to be sustainable

With this branding campaign, Steinbeis is deepening what the company has consistently practised for more than four decades. With the "ecological modelling" of its industrial company and as the operator of one of the most modern ecologically integrated recycled paper mills, Steinbeis has set a benchmark for sustainability in the industry that spans the entire value chain. The new campaign motifs emphasise the need for a sustainable approach to water, energy, climate and biodiversity and the importance of recycled paper production for resource efficiency, climate and the environment.

With its cross-media campaign, the medium-sized company Steinbeis Papier is launching an appeal for the responsible use of resources, the fair distribution of raw materials and consumer behaviour that is appropriate to the carbon footprint. The constant overdrawing of the environmental account, the global hunger for raw materials, climate and environmental problems such as forest fires, water floods and drought require an increase in resource efficiency and corporate commitment to environmental and climate protection. Industry and business can provide decisive impetus here.

The sustainable profile of Steinbeis Papier

Steinbeis Papier, which was awarded the "Germany's Most Valuable Companies" seal by Deutschland Test 2018, sees companies as role models. "We have the opportunity to utilise the potential of sustainability, ecology and the circular economy in product design and throughout the entire procurement, manufacturing and recycling chain. This is the only way we can make a contribution to resource justice and ensure sustainable consumption across the board," says Managing Director Ulrich Feuersinger.
