Factory 4.0 - an overview of the Steinbeis site

22.05.2019 - Steinbeis operates one of the most modern ecologically integrated mills in the recycled paper industry at its Glückstadt site. With this mill, the company is demonstrating its leading technological position in the industry. In the last 18 years alone, around 360 million euros have been invested in modernising the paper machines, in new systems and technologies for environmentally friendly energy generation and in a modern waste paper sorting and processing plant. The power plant with state-of-the-art fluidised bed technology and combined heat and power generation covers 100 per cent of the thermal energy and 50 per cent of the electrical energy. Over 300 employees ensure a production volume of around 300,000 tonnes per year in Glückstadt. This infographic shows an overview of where which work steps take place in Factory 4.0.
